About the Role:
Ivywood Academy in Snellville, GA is looking for a passionate and dedicated GAPREK Lead Teacher (T4/T5) to join our growing team of early childhood educators. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with GAPREK standards and guidelines
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all students
- Observe, document, and assess student progress and development in accordance with T4/T5 requirements
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding student growth and milestones
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support whole-child development goals
- Maintain accurate classroom records, portfolios, and required GAPREK documentation
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides as needed
Requirements:
- Must meet Georgia PREK (GAPREK) T4 or T5 teacher qualification requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in a lead teacher GA Pre-K setting
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate instructional strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Ability to maintain required certifications, background checks, and health screenings
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education

Compensation: $59,800.00 per year
