About the Role:
Ivywood Academy in Snellville, GA is looking for a passionate and driven Director to lead our team and inspire excellence every day. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily academy operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment
- Lead, mentor, and support faculty and staff to drive professional growth and performance
- Develop and implement curriculum standards, policies, and educational programs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, students, and the local community
- Manage budgeting, staffing, and administrative functions of the academy
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and accreditation standards
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support academic and developmental success
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Prior experience in a Director, Assistant Director, or school leadership role
- Knowledge of Georgia childcare licensing regulations and educational compliance standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to build a positive school culture and foster team collaboration
- Experience with budget management and administrative operations
- Passionate, student-centered mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
